The company’s expertise spans substation builds and upgrades, structural steelwork, specialist concrete construction, and the maintenance of dams, tunnels and aqueducts. It also undertakes the refurbishment of intakes, base construction for 132 Kva and 275 Kva facilities, and environmental improvements to transformer compounds.

In addition, Global Infrastructure carries out bulk earthworks, road construction, drainage systems, and a wide range of works including dams, reservoirs, tanks, sub-station projects, and the construction of mainline water, wastewater and flood alleviation systems.

Global Power Services 4

Since 2008, Global Power Services has delivered a range of civils and infrastructure services across multiple sectors, including shot blasting excavation, cable drum handling (LOLER compliant), steelwork installations and civil & foundation installations. With the civils and infrastructure sector poised for a period of exponential growth to support a series of vital national projects announced by the UK government, investment from Global allows Global Power Services to offer a significantly enhanced civils service offering, working alone and alongside fellow group companies, to bid for and deliver major civils projects and end-to-end infrastructure solutions across sectors.

Principal of these schemes is a £15.6bn investment to enhance transport infrastructure in northern England and the Midlands, including new metro and mass transit systems across Birmingham, West Yorkshire, and Greater Manchester. A further £44.1bn has been allocated to Network Rail to renew core assets like tracks and associated structures and, through to 2030, major investment has been outlined by the government’s Road Investment Strategy 3 (2025–2030), and Water Sector Asset Management Period 8 (2025–2030), which proposes £96bn in spending to fund new reservoirs, upgrade pipes, and clean waterways.
